On behalf of the Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) of Ho Chi Minh City and our members, I’d like to thank you for your interest in sourcing from Vietnam!
International buyers who’ve diversified their supply base have discovered the quality products, competitive prices and excellent service our suppliers offer. These factors, plus a skilled workforce, an abundant supply of raw materials and favorable government support, have attracted buyer attention – and orders – to Vietnam.
The ITPC is a government agency facilitating investment and trade in Ho Chi Minh City. With our main functions of export promotion and attraction of foreign direct investment, ITPC acts as an efficient bridge between local enterprises and foreign counterparts. We offer one-stop solution to assist domestic and international enterprises in trade and export promotion.
We are delighted to establish bilateral cooperation with the Kearny Alliance to help qualified suppliers reach buyers worldwide – and give buyers access to quality suppliers.
Likewise, we appreciate Global Source for generously providing valuable export assistance through Global Sources Online for the suppliers featured in the Vietnam Sourcing Reports.
Working together, the ITPC, a government agency, Global Sources, a for-profit enterprise, and the Kearny Alliance, a non-governmental organization (NGO) is a powerful combination to bring quality buyers and suppliers together to trade, create jobs and sustainable prosperity.

Dear Buyers,
On behalf of the Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (Vietcraft) and our members, I would like to thank you for your interest in sourcing from Vietnam.
Global buyers have benefited a great deal by sourcing from Vietnam, due to the range of indigenous materials available, a large pool of skilled workers and competitive prices. Rapidly improving infrastructure and open-door policies are other significant advantages that attract buyers to source from Vietnam, enabling it to become a major supply hub for handicrafts in the world.
Vietcraft strengthens members’ competitiveness and business effectiveness by creating valuable opportunities to help local exporters and global buyers interact more efficiently and profitably. We offer services that contribute to bottom-line success and intensify networking with other handicraft associations.
Our members are export-oriented manufacturers of various products, including furniture, rattanware, lacquerware, ceramics, embroidery and paper crafts. You can find their unique products in our Lifestyle Vietnam trade show organized every April in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietcraft treasures its cooperation with the Kearny Alliance in helping advance our suppliers’ export marketing skills and their efforts to foster the vision of Aid through Trade by sustainable development.
I’d also like to thank Global Sources for offering its powerful Global Sources Online marketplace to enable our members to access quality buyers worldwide.

We also cooperate with the National Agency for Export Development, a local government agency, the Bali International Consulting Group and Bali Creative Community.
BEDO promotes members’ products to the international market, and builds partnerships with overseas chambers of commerce and trade support organizations. We arrange export management and marketing training led by technical experts from Austria, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia and the US. With 72 members, our organization works to raise awareness on environmental issues such as sustainable materials, waste management and reduction of CO2 emissions.
BEDO spearheads social programs. We concentrate on helping the disabled find job opportunities by enhancing their work capabilities and technical skills. Currently, 16 of our members provide jobs for people with disabilities. Dear Buyers,
First of all, in the name of the Trade and Industry Department of Bali, I send a deep appreciation to all staff of the Kearny Alliance and its local affiliate, the Export Service Centre, as well as Global Sources for helping promote Indonesia exports to overseas buyers.
The Trade and Industry Department of Bali is responsible for the province’s international trade relations, which include implementing trade policies and agreements, as well as providing general support services for local industries and SMEs.
The variety of Indonesia’s natural and cultural resources has become a source of inspiration for SMEs to produce different products in accordance to market needs. The local products are creative and innovative, having been produced by skilled labor that processes raw materials into artistic output.
We hope that this sourcing report will enrich your knowledge about the diversity of Indonesia products, and that there will be a better relationship between our local suppliers and buyers worldwide.
Thank you very much, and we wish you success.
Best regards,

Dear Buyers,
As an organization that encourages the use of rattan products, the Indonesian Rattan Foundation or Yayasan Rotan Indonesia endorses the Indonesia Sourcing Report: Rattan Furniture. We also support the Kearny Alliance in its advocacy to create jobs, increase worker incomes and bring people from around the world together through international trade.
Indonesia supplies 85 percent of global rattan demand, making the country a primary source of rattan furniture and handicrafts that are artistic and environment-friendly. The material comes from forests maintained by about 2.3 million rattan collectors’ farmers. Nearly 10 million craftsmen and entrepreneurs then process these raw materials. Exporting cane and rattan products is the primary means of sustaining the industry. The livelihood of farmers and artisans depends on the volume of rattan and its derivative products traded around the world.
Let us use environment-friendly rattan products to enhance our homes, restaurants, cafes and hotels. Not only will we create more jobs for farmers and craftsmen, we will also prevent the accumulation of more non biodegradable materials in the environment.
