Developing Country Export Assistance Program The Developing Country Export Assistance Program aims to help small and medium-sized exporters in developing Asia create jobs in their communities by connecting them with volume buyers worldwide. It represents a powerful partnership between non-profit Kearny Alliance, the NASDAQ-listed Global Sources, and Kearny Alliance Scholar graduates.
Our Team The Developing Country Export Assistance Program team members come from Vietnam, The Philippines, Indonesia, India, Cambodia and the US. Many are Kearny Alliance scholar graduates who majored in international journalism, while others have volunteered for reputable NGOs and earned hands-on experience in sustainable development.

Khiem Vu
Program Manager
Based in his home town Ho Chi Minh City, Khiem is manager of the Developing Country Export Assistance Program. He leads a multicultural team of export consultants who work with producers in Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Cambodia.
Khiem is a Kearny Alliance scholar graduate, having earned an MA in International Journalism Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2008. Prior to receiving his full scholarship and working with the Kearny Alliance team, he was the public relation specialist and English instructor for Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, where he completed his undergraduate degree in English Teaching Methodology.

Karen Pham Export Consultant
Karen is currently working as the export consultant and writer for the
Developing Country Export Assistance Program provided by the Kearny
Alliance. Based in Hanoi, she works closely with export suppliers in the
North of Vietnam.
She pursued the M.A course in International journalism at Hong Kong Baptist
University in 2008 with Kearny Alliance Fellowship. She had experience in
journalism and communication before joining the Kearny Alliance team.

Han Pham
Export Consultant
Based in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Han works closely with Karen (based in Hanoi Hanoi) to oversee the Developing Country Export Assistance Program in Vietnam. Her main role is to support export manufacturers to market to buyers more effectively to generate sales leads so the producers can get new orders and ultimately create jobs.
Han graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), an international university in Vietnam, where she earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2009. She has been awarded a Kearny Alliance full scholarship to study for her MA in Hong Kong. She finds her team very passionate and supportive, which gives her great motivation.

Thuy Ho
Export Consultant
Thuy works as an export consultant under the Vietnam Export Assistance Program. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, she is working with many SMEs of labor-extensive, comsumer exports to provide them with free export marketing support in a hope that they can boost their export sales and create sustainable jobs. Her main duties include prescreening and offering the beneficiairies powerful, proven marketing tools with hands-on skills and training, interviewing the suppliers and writing Vietnam Sourcing Reports to market to buyers worldwide.
Before joining the Kearny Alliance, Thuy used to service as an intern under the same Program in Hanoi for three months. Her solid contribution and profesional knowledge prompted us to strive to continue developing her into a more outstanding consultant for the unshakable mission Aid through Trade, which she chooses a desired path for her current profession.

Philippine team members
Grace Bejosano
Export Consultant
Grace is the Export Consultant of the Developing Country Export Assistance Program in The Philippines. Prior to joining The Kearny Alliance team, she worked as a media planner for MindShare (a WPP company) in Manila, and as a trainee copywriter for Lowe Philippines. She was also the Head English Editor in a public relations and communications firm based in Dubai, UAE from 2007 until 2010. Grace graduated with a degree in Communication Arts from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
David Adema
Export Consultant
David is based in Manila and manages the production of Philippine sourcing reports, website development, fundraising and partnership development. David spent 3 years as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines working as a small business development and sustainability advisor for the S.H.A.L.O.M. foundation in Sorsogon City, Sorgsogon and the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction in Silang, Cavite.
After completing a Master’ of Science degree in Sustainability Planning in Karlskrona, Sweden, David returned to the Philippines to play an active role in the social and economic aspects of sustainable development. Job creation is critical to proper sustainability planning in developing countries. When people from rural areas are employed they aren’t forced into unsustainable illegal logging, fishing and mining practices.

Agnes B. Batallones
Graphic Artist
Based in Manila, a Graphic Artist of the Developing Country Export Assistance Program. Responsible for design & layout of all DCSRs (Developing Country Sourcing Reports) for Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Cambodia and for other marketing related materials.
Agnes works in Shenzhen China for the past 6 years under Global Sources and she's been with the company for 16yrs. She has decided to go back in her home land and was given an opportunity to work & be part of Kearny Alliance team to assist all creative materials needed.
Allan Leandro Merin Copy Editor
Based in Manila, Allan is a copy editor for the Developing Country Sourcing Reports. Before joining the team, he worked as a sports writer and editor for an international electronic crew newspaper.
Allan obtained a degree in Sociology from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños.
Victorette Joy Campilan
Copy Editor
Based in Manila, Joy is Copy Editor for the Developing Country Export Assistance Program. She finished her undergraduate studies in the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Research. She is currently studying for a Master of Fine Arts degree at De La Salle University, major in Creative Writing.
Sherwin Baniqued
Managing Editor
Based in Manila, Sherwin is the managing editor for The Kearny Alliance's Developing Country Export Assistance Program. He leads a team of copy editors and a graphic artist, and is responsible for the production of the Program's Developing Country Sourcing Reports.
Sherwin has been with Global Sources since 2002, serving in various editorial positions over the years. He joined The Kearny Alliance in 2009. He was previously an advertising copywriter for one of the Philippines' largest real estate companies and worked as a news correspondent for a national daily.

Rajesh Goswami
Export Consultant
Based in Delhi, Rajesh has been working for India Developing Country Export
Assistance Program as a writer and export consultant since early 2011. In
addition to writing India Sourcing Reports, he is responsible for recruiting
the qualified suppliers for the Program and conducting in-person interviews,
factory visits and training them in online export marketing and buyer
communication skills.
He completed his M.B.A. in Marketing at Assumption University of Thailand,
Bangkok in 2009. He also gained hands-on experience in trading, sales and
marketing activities for many export companies before joining the Kearny
Alliance.
Farm-born and frame-bred, Rajesh is interested in development work in his
home country and changing the lives of the needy grassroots for the better.

Gusti Made Wirawan
Export Consultant
Working in Bali, Ade works with Indonesia suppliers to improve their export marketing skills. He is experienced with export-import for more than a decade, most recently working for two years with the Kearny Alliance’s Export Service Centre. He graduated from Warmadewa University in Accounting in 2002, followed by studies at the Robert Schuman Berufskollege in Essen, Germany. Cambodia team members
Sokneang Chhour
Export Consultant & ESC export manger
Sokneang Chhour is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. As an export manager for the Kearny Alliance’s Export Service Center Cambodia, Sokneang assists under privileged and disabled producers in Cambodia who don’t have direct-export capability to sell products to buyers worldwide. Her just-hope-for goal is to create jobs and bring a better livelihood for the workers.
In addition, she is keen to work with other Export Assistant Program team in other Asian countries to offer the Cambodian suppliers marketing consultancy and hands-on export skills, but not limited to free marketing boost including Cambodia Sourcing Reports and Global Sources Online website.
